The NCAA Frozen Four Tournament kicked off this afternoon. The Chicago Blackhawks had 5 prospects in the first round. Landon Slaggert would have made it 6, but Notre Dame had to withdraw due to COVID protocols. Josh Ess, Wyatt Kaiser, Drew Commesso, Alex Vlasic, and Jake Wise are the five others.

The Rockford IceHogs earned their second win of the 2021 season with a 3-2 victory over the Iowa Wild on Saturday night. They didn’t have much time to rest, because they were back at it with the Wild on Sunday at 4pm. The last time they had a back-to-back, they won the second game. They hoped to do the same again on Sunday. They did. A 4-3 victory over the Iowa Wild gave the IceHogs their third win of the season.

The Rockford IceHogs lost an absolute nightmare of a game to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday with a score of 9-4. This weekend, they take on the Iowa Wild in a back-to-back. The first was Saturday evening. The IceHogs looked to get their second win of the season. They got it. 3-2 was the final score, and we all get to rest easy.
